I would like to open today’s talk with the Lord’s Prayer from the George M. Lamsa Bible. You will find it a little bit different from what you are familiar with;
Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done, as in heaven so on earth.
Give us bread for our needs from day to day.
And forgive us our offences, as we have forgiven our offenders.
And do not let us enter into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
As tense as times have been with the COVOD-19 pandemic with its masks and social distancing, the racial conflicts, political unrest, the general feeling of edginess, I want to impress you with the thought and instill the feeling and knowledge within you that Infinite Intelligence, Unlimited Knowledge, Our God is alive, not only alive but well, joyous, healing, uplifting, and always a loving Spiritual Entity.
Psalm 100 starts off “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands. Serve the Lord with gladness, come before his presence with singing...” Psalm 98 verse 4 tells us to “praise the Lord, all the earth; make ye merry and sing and give praise. Sing to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the voice of a choir. With the sound of trumpets give praise before the Lord, the King. Let the sea roar and the fulness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein. Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills be joyful together before the Lord… “
One of my favorites, the 121st Psalm starts off “I will lift up mine eyes to the mountain from whence comes my help.” Again, these are from the George M. Lamsa translation rather than the King James Version.
The point is there are many uplifting passages in the Bible, regardless which Bible you select. Now, amidst all the negativity transpiring in the world; now is the time to concentrate on the positive, the joyous, the loving, the uplifting, and the soul lifting portions that will help you stay in touch with God Force and assist your spirit to soar.
Spiritualists are aware there is no death. Those who leave the earth plane are alive, healed and doing fine in spirit. Spiritualists know we can communicate with them, enjoy their personalities, receive their love, hear them creak in our homes or crack on the walls.
My niece’s Dad lets her know he is there – when he arrives a lightbulb burns out! Or as my brother-in-law did, my sister’s radio would turn on just as a favorite song was playing when the volume came up. We have that special knowledge, that secret joy to tap into, that working awareness of the Infinite manifesting in our lives.
If there were no God how could this be?
Some may say “well, that doesn’t happen in my life.”
I challenge you to turn off the TV, sit quietly for a little bit and calm yourself. Quiet your mind. Most importantly, encircle yourself with the White Light of Divine Protection and speak aloud to the God Force asking for succor for your soul by a demonstration of the loving spirit in your life. When you are working with Infinite Intelligence you are always protected.
You may even ask for the manner of the demonstration – When God Force is with me, I would like to feel your warmth or hear a crack on the wall, or when I look outside, I would like the first bird I see to be a cardinal or nuthatch or robin. There is not anything wrong with asking God to demonstrate in your life.
Do be careful what you ask for. Remember the country song “Sometimes I Thank God for Unanswered Prayers.” Let your request be a gentle one, a positive sign, nothing stupendous or earthshaking. Ask for a simple sign of loving awareness. Once you achieve that continue using “your sign,” the one you have chosen as a signal from Spirit and you will be amazed at how frequently you will become aware of that same demonstration.
When it occurs, thank Spirit for it. Rejoice in the awareness spirit has achieved in your life. Let them know you received and are thankful, actually joyous because of their demonstration.
The more you work with spirit, the more they are aware you recognize and are willing to receive them, the easier it will be for them to able to make demonstrations in your life. No one learned to play the guitar with their first strum across the strings. It takes diligence and practice.
If you are sincere and diligent you will become aware of their gentle presence. Once you have achieved that portion of working with spirit, you and they can go forward with development.
The most important thing is to recognize and realize Spirit is alive, well, and working in your life. To accept that is to raise your emotions and your vibration to a happy level of positivity that will be with you and sustain you regardless of the state of conditions around you.
In closing I pray you will embrace and be aware of the love and warmth of the Living Spirit of God, Infinite Intelligence, in your life.
